Bitcoin is renowned for its decentralization and high security, but scalability has always been a challenge for the network and defined the success of Web3 gaming. While Bitcoin has become increasingly scalable through Layer 2 solutions like Rootstock, which boost chain performance and enable smart contract creation, the range of applications serving the end-user within the Bitcoin ecosystem remains limited.

To address these scalability challenges, BitEigen integrates additional modular solutions.

Scalability is essential in Web3 gaming to support large user bases and high transaction volumes. Web3 games require fast and efficient processing of numerous transactions to provide a seamless and engaging user experience. BitEigen’s architecture addresses scalability through several advanced technologies. Celestia’s data availability layer plays a critical role in enhancing scalability by offloading data storage from the main chain to a decentralized network of validators. This allows BitEigen to process more transactions simultaneously without compromising performance.

Additionally, BitEigen leverages the Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK) and especially zkValidium to optimize performance and reduce costs. Polygon CDK supports rollup and validium modes, with BitEigen employing zkValidium for its scalability benefits. By storing transaction data off-chain, zkValidium reduces on-chain congestion and lowers transaction fees. This ensures that BitEigen can handle the high transaction volumes typical of Web3 games while maintaining low costs and high performance, delivering a smooth and responsive gaming experience.
